Plant roots are rooted in the soil and come into closer contact with the microorganisms in the soil. Most bacteria and plants in the soil environment coexist peacefully.
CD BioSciences provides an advanced service technology platform for plant-associated bacterial screening. Our MicroScanTM technology platform is development to meet customer's personalized customization needs.
Overview of Plant-associated Bacteria
- Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria
Among the inter-rooted microorganisms, plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) makes up a large proportion. They decompose organic residues, neutralize potentially toxic compounds in the soil, promote root growth, improve plant metabolism, enhance plant access to nutrients, and resist stress. It plays a role in providing disease-suppressing properties as well as enhancing plant resistance mechanisms. It also improves the plant's resilience to environmental changes and extreme conditions. - Plant Pathogenic Bacteria
Although bacteria can provide many benefits to plants, there are also disease-causing bacteria that exist in nature. When certain conditions change, harmless bacteria can transform into plant pathogenic bacteria. For example, in a high temperature and high humidity environment, leaf blight, bacterial wilt and soft rot caused by bacteria are prone to outbreaks. Due to the wide distribution of disease-causing microorganisms and the diversity of infection pathways, they are capable of causing serious economic losses every year.
Applications of Plant-associated Bacteria
- Bio-fertilizer
Researchers have developed a variety of bacteria into biofertilizers because of the bacteria's growth-promoting effect on plants. - Biological Control
In agricultural production, people use the interspecific or intraspecific resistance, competition, lysis of microorganisms or the induction of plant disease resistance through microbial metabolites to control the occurrence and development of plant diseases. - Biodegradation
Many endophytic and soil bacteria can be used to degrade organic matter, metal ions, toxic substances, etc.
Our Services
In order to accelerate the development of ecological agriculture, CD BioSciences introduced the MicroScanTM technology platform. The technology platform can discovery bacteria strains that promote or inhibit the growth of the indicator strain, which together can be further developed as plant growth promoting rhizobacteria or as biocontrol bacteria. The advanced platform provides a new approach for screening and detecting microbial interactions and it can be applied to any microbial flora.
- Single or Combined Bacteria Discovery
Identifying single bacterial stains or a mixture of bacteria strains that can be mixed with the indicator strain. - Suitable for Any Bacteria Screening
The technology platform can be used for the study of any bacteria in the environment.
